The Ardmore Show That Helped the Room Through 2020

On July 13, 2019, The New Mastersounds played Ardmore Music Hall. At the time, it was a full club night. The following year, the recording took on a different purpose.

The venue released the complete 20-track performance in November 2020 as part of its From the Archives project. All proceeds were directed to the musicians and Ardmore staff during the shutdown, when stages were dark and the people who kept them running had lost their regular work.

The release turned a pre-pandemic show into both a live document and a small piece of the room’s survival strategy. For Ardmore Music Hall, it is a reminder that an archived night can continue supporting a music community long after the last note.
