Currently Spinning

A rotating collection of artists, albums, playlists, and live recordings currently making their way through the CouchLot speakers. New discoveries. Old favorites. Live recordings. Studio albums. Songs that give us chills and albums we can't stop replaying.

  • Johnny Blue Skies

    Why We Listen:
Because Sturgill Simpson found a new name without losing the weird, restless thing that made him interesting in the first place. Passage du Desir feels loose, lived-in and slightly untethered, like country music that took the long way home.

  • The True Loves

    Why We Listen:
Because sometimes the groove is the whole point. The True Loves make instrumental soul and funk that feels less like background music and more like the room suddenly got better. Tight enough to lock in, loose enough to breathe.

  • The Tragically Hip

    Why We Listen:
Because they made Canadian places, roads, weather and small details feel worth singing about. The Hip could be loud, strange, funny and deeply specific without ever sanding the edges off. For a lot of us, the songs are tied to places as much as they are to records.

On Tour Now - Billy Strings

Billy Strings’ current 2026 tour is a largely sold-out run through major theatres, arenas, and outdoor venues, stretching from the East Coast summer leg into an extensive fall schedule across the United States. The shows continue his mix of traditional bluegrass, psychedelic improvisation, flatpicking, and long-form live exploration, with many cities receiving multiple nights.
