A guest guitarist normally brings another instrument. At Buffalo Iron Works on April 6, 2025, Pink Talking Fish went in the opposite direction: four players crowded around one guitar.
During Slippery People, Cal Kehoe shared his instrument with Aqueous guitarist Mike Gantzer and Dogs in a Pile’s Jimmy Law and Brian Murray. They played it simultaneously, turning a familiar concert sit-in into a practical problem of hands, strings and space.
The collaboration had a local prelude. Gantzer had joined Dogs in a Pile on the same stage the previous night. On Sunday, that gathering carried over into Pink Talking Fish’s second set. The band’s posted video preserves the attempt, giving Buffalo Iron Works a documented moment of musical mischief that needs no inflated claim of a historic first.
