The Glorious Sons Brought Their Arena Step Home to Kingston

The Glorious Sons took their hometown step into arena headlining at Kingston’s Rogers K-Rock Centre on February 24, 2018. The performance became the live album Little Prison City, with a concert film waiting for its own occasion.
That occasion came under different circumstances. When the pandemic disrupted a planned Kingston New Year’s celebration in 2021, the band announced the film’s premiere as a way to spend the evening with fans instead.
The room now known as Slush Puppie Place therefore appears twice in the story: first as the site of a hometown milestone, then through footage offered in place of another gathering. A recording made during the band’s move into a bigger room became a way back to that room when plans fell apart.
