Bruno Mars Opened Intuit Dome with an Unexpected Duet

Bruno Mars had already delivered hours of hits at Intuit Dome’s opening concert on August 15, 2024 when he introduced one more performer. Lady Gaga joined him for the live debut of “Die With a Smile.”
The duet gave the new Inglewood arena two debuts on the same night. Its opening audience saw the building begin its concert life and heard the pair perform their newly released collaboration in public for the first time.
Mars still had “Uptown Funk” to finish. But the guest appearance made the opening more specific than an inaugural booking by a major star: this crowd got a song at the very start of its life, before it had become a familiar concert moment.
