The Independent is a compact Divisadero Street room whose close sightlines and roughly club-scale capacity have made it a durable San Francisco stop for emerging and established touring artists.

Street parking around Divisadero is difficult. The venue recommends walking, biking, transit, rideshare or nearby paid lots rather than expecting an easy curb space.

All bags are checked. The venue does not prominently publish a universal size limit, and coat/bag check may be available.

This is a small room in a busy neighborhood. Arrive early if you care about standing position and take advantage of the restaurants and bars on Divisadero.
