Why it matters

MSG is one of the few arenas where the building itself still carries genuine musical weight. A long run here can become part of an artist’s story, and the crowd energy feels distinctly New York.

Getting there

Public transit is the obvious move. Penn Station sits directly beneath the arena, with subway, LIRR, NJ Transit and Amtrak connections. Driving into Midtown adds cost and uncertainty with little upside.

Bag policy

Bags do not need to be clear but must fit comfortably under your seat. Oversized bags larger than 22 x 14 x 9 in are prohibited, and MSG does not provide a general bag check.

Local tips

Eat before you go. There are better options within a short walk than relying entirely on arena concessions. After the show, walk a few blocks before calling a rideshare if Midtown traffic is locked up.
