Elton John

Elton John built one of pop music's deepest catalogues through his piano-centered performances and long songwriting partnership with lyricist Bernie Taupin. From the early 1970s run of Tumbleweed Connection, Honky Château and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road through decades of touring, he moved comfortably between rock, soul, ballads and theatrical pop without losing the songcraft at the centre.
