The Story

THE STORY

161 Hudson Street.

Wetlands Preserve opened in Tribeca in 1989 as something stranger than a normal music club.

Larry Bloch built a room where live music and environmental activism shared the same address.

Then a scene grew around it.

Phish played an early New York appearance there. Blues Traveler, Spin Doctors, God Street Wine, Widespread Panic and The Disco Biscuits became part of the club's story. Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine and Oasis also passed through before they needed much larger rooms.

Wetlands closed in September 2001 after the building was sold.

Twenty-five years later, people who never stood inside still know the name.

The Wetlands Preserve Archive Edition records the room, the address and a handful of nights from the years when a small Tribeca club helped build something much bigger.

Only 50 copies of this edition will be issued.

Edition Details

Each venue in The Rooms We Lost: Archive Editions is released in a strictly limited edition of 50.

The art print itself is produced on demand and is not individually numbered. Your order also includes a separate CouchLot archive pack containing an individually numbered edition placard and a souvenir ticket stub tied to one selected historic show at the venue.

Only 50 numbered placards will be issued for each venue edition.

Once all 50 are gone, that edition closes. The same design will not be reprinted.
