Theatre of Living Arts

The TLA is a 1,000-capacity former cinema on South Street, with decades of rock, hip-hop and alternative history. Its sloped floor gives it better rear-room sightlines than many flat clubs of similar size.

Use the 40 or 12 bus routes, or walk from the Market-Frankford Line at Second Street. South Street traffic and parking are unpredictable, especially on weekends.

Bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches are generally accepted and searched. Non-clear bags may receive extra screening, and the event page controls if an artist adopts a tighter rule.

The floor rises toward the back, so arriving late does not automatically ruin the view. The balcony is not open for every show, and access should never be assumed from the venue name alone.
