Why it matters
Originally opened in 1909 as the La Plaza Theatre, Toronto's Opera House gives the Riverside neighborhood one of the city's oldest surviving performance rooms and a durable home for alternative touring acts.
Getting there
The Opera House is at 735 Queen Street East. There is no major on-site parking; use TTC, nearby Green P lots, street parking or rideshare.
Bag policy
Bags may be up to 12" x 6" x 12". Backpacks and oversized bags are prohibited.
Local tips
Riverside/Leslieville has plenty of places to eat before the show. TTC saves you from trying to find parking on Queen East as doors approach.
Do not automatically dismiss the balcony. A local in the thread specifically called it underrated, and it can be a strong option when the main floor is dense.
