Know Before You Go

Why it matters

The Moore is Seattle’s oldest operating theatre, an approximately 1,700-seat room used for concerts, comedy and touring productions. Its main floor and two steep balcony levels create substantially different views at each level.

Getting there

The theatre is on Second Avenue near Westlake station and multiple downtown bus routes. Parking garages are plentiful but expensive, and post-show exits compete with Pike Place and Belltown traffic.

Bag policy

Large bags are allowed only after a full search, which can delay entry. An artist may impose a no-bag policy for a specific event, so check the event notice before arrival.

Local tips

The upper balcony is high and steep, with a very different relationship to the stage from the main floor. Check the level carefully before buying based only on the row number.
