The Mod Club returned to its original name in 2025 after operating as The Axis Club. The 618-person College Street room is where The Weeknd played his first concert and remains a key step between bars and larger Toronto venues.
Getting there
The 506 Carlton streetcar stops on College, while the 511 Bathurst streetcar and 63 Ossington bus provide north-south connections. Paid parking exists across the street and along College, but transit is more predictable on busy Little Italy nights.
Bag policy
Small clutches, belt bags, fanny packs and clear bags are preferred. The maximum size is 12 x 6 x 12 inches, backpacks are not permitted, and all items are subject to search.
Local tips
The shallow main floor keeps the stage close, while the balcony can provide a cleaner sightline when the floor is packed. The surrounding College Street strip has far better pre-show food options than post-show parking.
