Scotiabank Centre

Scotiabank Centre has been Halifax’s main arena since 1978 and is still the largest multipurpose room in Atlantic Canada. Built into the slope below Citadel Hill, it feels physically embedded in downtown, which is part of why major concerts here draw from far beyond the city itself.

Scotiabank Centre is in the middle of downtown Halifax. Walk from central hotels or park once in the downtown core and approach on foot. The steep blocks around Citadel Hill can add more time than the map suggests if you are coming up from the waterfront.

Argyle Street and the downtown core are immediately outside, so there is no reason to drive from a central hotel. Halifax is hillier than it looks, especially around Citadel Hill, so give yourself a few extra minutes if your route approaches from the waterfront.
