Jones Beach Theater is one of the few major amphitheatres where the setting does as much work as the stage. Built at Jones Beach State Park beside Zach’s Bay, the venue has been hosting summer concerts since the 1950s with water, sky and ocean air wrapped around the show.

Jones Beach Theater is deep inside Jones Beach State Park, so driving is the normal approach. Follow the state park route and venue parking signs rather than generic navigation once you are on the island. Leave extra time for the final parkway stretch because most of the audience arrives the same way.
