Know Before You Go

Why it matters

Detroit’s Fox Theatre is a restored 1928 movie palace with just over 5,100 seats. It hosts major concerts, comedy and touring productions across a main floor, mezzanine and multiple balcony galleries.

Getting there

Use the QLINE to Grand Circus Park or walk from downtown hotels and parking structures along Woodward Avenue. Sports events at Comerica Park or Ford Field can materially change parking price and traffic.

Bag policy

Bags larger than 4 x 6 x 1.5 inches are prohibited, including laptop, tablet, camera and binocular bags. Medical and parenting bags smaller than 16 x 16 x 8 inches are permitted after screening.

Local tips

The building is enormous and upper-gallery seats are genuinely far from the stage. Buy for level and distance, not just the prestige of the room, and arrive early enough to see the lobby and auditorium.
