Ford Field concert venue in Detroit, Michigan

Why it matters

Ford Field opened in 2002 and is unusual among NFL stadiums because part of the complex incorporates a historic Hudson’s warehouse facade. The enclosed downtown stadium gives Detroit a weather-proof room for huge tours while remaining within the same central entertainment grid as Comerica Park and the theaters.

Getting there

Ford Field is in downtown Detroit and can be reached on foot from much of the central hotel and entertainment district. The QLINE and downtown transit help with the approach, while drivers should reserve a garage because Lions, Tigers and concert traffic often share the same streets.

Bag policy

Entry screening at Ford Field follows the rule posted for the event configuration. Review the official venue policy on show day, especially if you need a medical, parenting or accessibility exception.

Local tips

Walk if you are already downtown. The People Mover and QLINE can help with the last part of the trip, and Greektown or the Woodward corridor are better pre-show bases than eating at the stadium. Move a few blocks away before ordering a rideshare after the encore.
