Meteor Gem

Meteor Gem is a focused answer to the question of where to buy metal CDs in Chicago. Vinyl and cassettes are also central, but the CD selection is visible in the current catalogue rather than inferred from a general music-store listing. Mikhail Fedyukov began the business online in 2018 and opened the physical shop in 2022, building around extreme metal and hardcore. Used and blemished items carry condition information, useful when comparing a collectible copy with a new edition. The garden-level Elston space sits near Bucket O' Blood, giving heavier-music collectors two distinct stops in one area. Start with Meteor Gem for a format-specific release list, then allow time for labels and bands that sit beyond the most familiar names.

Metal and hardcore on vinyl, CD and cassette, including new releases and used or blemished items with condition grading.

3082 North Elston Avenue, Suite A, at garden level. Bucket O' Blood is farther northwest on Elston and can be included in the same local route.

Check the format and edition carefully in the catalogue. The shop's help information does not promise informal holds, so confirm purchase or special-order arrangements through the official channel.
