The Derek Trucks Band

Derek Trucks' slide guitar led a band that moved between blues, gospel, jazz and Indian musical influences. Singer Mike Mattison and keyboardist Kofi Burbridge helped give records such as Songlines and Already Free an ensemble identity beyond the guitar solos. Live at Georgia Theatre documents the group's extended arrangements. Trucks later brought members of this band into Tedeschi Trucks Band with Susan Tedeschi.
