AJJ Finished the Tour at Crescent Ballroom

AJJ closed a tour at Phoenix’s Crescent Ballroom on November 18, 2012. The recording became Live at the Crescent Ballroom, released the following September, carrying the room’s name onto a 25-track live album.

The band’s release notes describe a run disrupted by mechanical problems and natural disasters. Coming home provided the ending, with Jeff Rosenstock, who had been part of the tour, also appearing in the recording credits.

A tour finale can disappear into the next round of dates. This one remained available as a complete release, with the long set documenting the band at that particular stop. Crescent Ballroom became both the destination at the end of the route and the place listeners could return to afterward.
