Know Before You Go

Why it matters

Tower Theatre puts live music inside one of Oklahoma City's best-preserved Route 66 landmarks. The Art Deco movie palace opened in 1937 on the original highway alignment, went dark in 1989 and returned after a full historic restoration. Today the 1,027-capacity room combines the old marquee, balcony and terraced auditorium with modern touring-concert production.

Getting there

Tower Theatre is at 425 NW 23rd Street in the Uptown 23rd District. Free parking is available in the East lot directly across 23rd Street, with additional paid lots and street parking nearby. The venue recommends carpooling or rideshare on busy nights.

Bag policy

Bags smaller than 8.5 x 11 inches are allowed. Backpacks are not permitted, and all bags are subject to search.

Local tips

Tower is all ages unless the event says otherwise, and minors must be accompanied by an adult. ADA seating is available on request; an elevator serves the balcony and accessible bathrooms are available. The venue and bars are cashless.
