Know Before You Go

Why it matters

The Vic is a 1,400-capacity former vaudeville theatre that keeps club energy on the floor while retaining a substantial balcony. It is one of Chicago's core rooms for nationally touring alternative and comedy acts.

Getting there

Use Belmont station on the Red, Brown or Purple Line and walk east to Sheffield. The immediate blocks are residential and Wrigleyville traffic can spill south on game or event nights.

Bag policy

Bags must be smaller than 12 x 12 inches and are searched. Backpacks are prohibited, and larger bags cannot be held at the venue.

Local tips

The balcony can provide the best unobstructed view, but sections may open or close depending on sales. The building is old and circulation is narrow, so use restrooms and concessions before the headliner rush.
