Star Lake opened in 1990 and became Pittsburgh’s default summer shed almost immediately. The rural Burgettstown site allows for a large pavilion and lawn, but the same isolation that gives it room also makes the arrival and departure part of the concert experience.
Getting there
The Pavilion at Star Lake is outside Pittsburgh and is overwhelmingly a driving venue. Leave before the door rush, follow the official parking route and assume the local roads around Burgettstown will take time both in and out.
Bag policy
Entry screening at The Pavilion at Star Lake follows the rule posted for the event configuration. Review the official venue policy on show day, especially if you need a medical, parenting or accessibility exception.
Local tips
Traffic is the issue here, not finding the stage. Arrive early, bring what you need for the parking-lot wait and do not schedule anything tight after the show. There is little walkable around the venue, so eat before you reach the final stretch of the drive.
