Tacoma Dome concert venue in Tacoma, Washington

Why it matters

The Tacoma Dome has been one of the Pacific Northwest’s most recognizable large venues since 1983. Its enormous wooden dome and flexible floor let it function somewhere between an arena and a small stadium, which is why it continues to attract tours that might otherwise skip between Seattle and Portland.

Getting there

Tacoma Dome Station is the main transportation hub for the venue, with regional rail and bus connections nearby. Drivers have several lots in the Dome District, but I-5 ramps back up after large events, so transit is worth using when the schedule works.

Bag policy

Before travelling to Tacoma Dome, open its official A–Z, FAQ or guest guide and confirm the concert's bag dimensions. A small essentials-only setup is the safest choice when an event notice is more restrictive.

Local tips

Tacoma Dome Station is the key transit hub, with regional rail, buses and local connections nearby. Event parking spreads across the Dome District, but the I-5 ramps can jam after shows, so transit is especially useful when the schedule lines up.
