Smoothie King Center

Smoothie King Center opened in 1999 beside the Superdome and gave New Orleans a dedicated modern arena for basketball and touring shows. Its location puts a major concert room within walking distance of the Central Business District and the city’s older entertainment core.

From the CBD or French Quarter, walking to Smoothie King Center is usually easier than moving a car. Poydras Street is the main approach to the Superdome complex. If another major event is happening nearby, leave extra time because the whole district can tighten at once.
