SAP Center at San Jose concert venue in San Jose, California

Why it matters

SAP Center opened in 1993 and quickly earned the Shark Tank nickname from the hockey crowd, but it has always doubled as Silicon Valley’s major indoor concert room. Its greatest practical advantage is location: the arena sits beside one of the Bay Area’s busiest regional rail hubs.

Getting there

Diridon Station is next to SAP Center, with Caltrain, VTA and bus service converging there. Check the final Caltrain departure before the show if you are returning up the Peninsula. Drivers have downtown lots, but transit is unusually convenient for an arena of this size.

Bag policy

Entry screening at SAP Center at San Jose follows the rule posted for the event configuration. Review the official venue policy on show day, especially if you need a medical, parenting or accessibility exception.

Local tips

Diridon Station is next door, with Caltrain, VTA and regional bus connections. San Pedro Square is a good pre-show area within walking distance. Check the final Caltrain departure before a late encore because the last train matters more than the arena exit.
