Rogers Place concert venue in Edmonton, Alberta

Why it matters

Rogers Place opened in 2016 and reshaped the center of Edmonton around the ICE District. The Oilers’ arena is built for modern hockey, but it also gave the city a technically strong concert room in the middle of downtown rather than at the edge of the metro area.

Getting there

Edmonton LRT and downtown transit are the simplest way to reach Rogers Place, particularly in winter. The ICE District is directly connected to the arena area, so once downtown you can stay on foot and avoid a second parking decision.

Bag policy

Before travelling to Rogers Place, open its official A–Z, FAQ or guest guide and confirm the concert's bag dimensions. A small essentials-only setup is the safest choice when an event notice is more restrictive.

Local tips

LRT and downtown transit are the better options for most visitors, especially in winter when driving and parking add another layer of hassle. The ICE District has food close by, and downtown hotels are walkable if you dress for the weather rather than judging the distance from inside.
