Why it matters

The NAC is Canada’s national performing arts complex, but it also works as a major concert stop with multiple rooms under one roof. Its central location and architectural presence make it feel civic rather than commercial.

Getting there

The NAC sits at Elgin and Confederation Square in central Ottawa. Walking, OC Transpo and rideshare are straightforward. The building also has on-site paid parking, though event exits can be slow.

Bag policy

All bags and suitcases must be left at coat check except handbags. Coat check is available for a fee.

Local tips

If you are staying downtown, walk. The Rideau Canal, ByWard Market and Elgin Street are all close enough for a pre- or post-show stop. If driving, expect a short wait getting out of the underground garage after a full house.
