Moda Center opened in 1995 as the Rose Garden and remains Portland’s main arena for the Trail Blazers and national tours. It sits in the Rose Quarter on the east side of the Willamette, close enough to downtown to feel central but with its own distinct event district.
Getting there
MAX light rail serves the Rose Quarter directly, with both Rose Quarter and Convention Center stations close to Moda Center. Driving is optional from much of Portland. If you do bring a car, park once on the east side and walk the last few blocks.
Bag policy
Before travelling to Moda Center, open its official A–Z, FAQ or guest guide and confirm the concert's bag dimensions. A small essentials-only setup is the safest choice when an event notice is more restrictive.
Local tips
MAX light rail is the easy move, with Rose Quarter and Convention Center stations close by. If you want dinner first, the eastside neighborhoods give you better choices than relying only on the immediate arena plaza.
