Why it matters

A century-old tennis stadium turned concert venue should not work as well as this does. The compact bowl, residential setting and old concrete structure give Forest Hills an atmosphere unlike New York’s larger arenas.

Getting there

Do not plan to drive. The venue specifically recommends LIRR to Forest Hills or the E/F/M/R subway to 71st-Continental. There is no venue parking and neighborhood street parking is restricted.

Bag policy

Small soft-sided bags and purses up to 16 x 16 x 8 in are permitted. Hard-sided containers are prohibited. An external bag check is available for non-compliant items.

Local tips

Use the LIRR if it fits your route; the walk from the station is part of the charm. Forest Hills has plenty of food nearby, so eat before entering and avoid hauling more than you need into the stadium.
