CHI Health Center opened in 2003 and gave Omaha the arena scale needed for major tours, NCAA events and large conventions. Its north-downtown location also helped extend the city’s entertainment district toward the river and the newer development around the convention center.

CHI Health Center Omaha is on the north edge of downtown, close enough to combine with the Old Market on foot. Park once in a downtown garage or lot and walk between dinner and the arena rather than moving the car twice.
