Charleston Music Hall

Charleston Music Hall is a restored 1849 building that gives the city a proper seated room for Americana, jazz, rock, comedy and cultural programming. The intimate horseshoe shape keeps touring performances connected to the audience.

The hall is on John Street near King Street. Downtown garages are close, and CARTA routes serve the corridor; reserve extra time for tourist traffic.

Bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 in are allowed and searched. Exceptions are available for required medical equipment and nursing bags.

The balcony is steep and the historic building has limited lobby space. Arrive early, confirm accessibility needs and avoid relying on a last-minute curb drop-off on King Street.
