Black Cat

Black Cat has been a backbone of Washington's independent rock, punk and alternative scene since 1993. Its Mainstage and smaller Red Room keep local bills and national club tours in a room that still feels artist-led.

The venue is on 14th Street NW. U Street Metro station is the closest, and several buses run along 14th; street parking is scarce.

Bags are searched at entry. The venue offers coat check but does not publish a universal bag-size limit on its FAQ.

Check whether the event is on the Mainstage or in the Red Room. The neighbourhood is busy before shows, but entry lines on 14th can be slow when multiple events overlap.
