BC Place concert venue in Vancouver, British Columbia

Why it matters

BC Place opened in 1983 and was transformed in 2011 with a new retractable roof, giving Vancouver a modernized stadium without losing its downtown location. It has hosted Olympics ceremonies, football, soccer and generations of huge concerts beneath one of the city’s most recognizable roofs.

Getting there

Stadium-Chinatown SkyTrain station puts you close to BC Place, and Yaletown is also walkable from the south side. Downtown Vancouver parking is available, but transit is cleaner when BC Place and Rogers Arena have events on the same night.

Bag policy

Entry screening at BC Place follows the rule posted for the event configuration. Review the official venue policy on show day, especially if you need a medical, parenting or accessibility exception.

Local tips

Stadium-Chinatown SkyTrain station is close, and Yaletown is walkable from the other side. Driving downtown for a stadium concert rarely improves the experience. If two major events are happening around BC Place and Rogers Arena, transit becomes even more important.
