Azura Amphitheater opened in 1984 as Sandstone and has been Kansas City’s big western summer shed through several name changes. The sprawling lawn and open Kansas setting give large tours a completely different atmosphere from the downtown arena.
Getting there
Azura Amphitheater in Bonner Springs is a drive-first venue west of Kansas City. Arrive before the main traffic surge, follow the event parking route and remember that most of the crowd will be leaving on the same small set of roads after the show.
