Alamodome

The Alamodome opened in 1993 and remains San Antonio’s largest enclosed event room. Its flexible floor and 60,000-plus capacity let it handle stadium-scale concerts without weather exposure, while the downtown-edge location keeps it closer to the city core than many football venues.

Alamodome is just east of downtown San Antonio and can be reached on foot from parts of the central hotel district. VIA service and downtown parking are alternatives to stadium lots. If you drive, choose a route that avoids crossing the entire downtown grid after the show.

Before travelling to Alamodome, open its official A–Z, FAQ or guest guide and confirm the concert's bag dimensions. A small essentials-only setup is the safest choice when an event notice is more restrictive.

The River Walk and central downtown are walkable for confident walkers, but the route is longer than an arena trip. VIA event service can be useful for major shows. If you drive, reserve parking and use the pedestrian routes rather than trying to move the car closer at the last minute.
