Why it is worth visiting

Fingerprints is a Long Beach destination, and its current home is in Bixby Knolls rather than the old downtown address. The April 2025 move brought the business to Atlantic Avenue while continuing a shop that began in 1992. Records and CDs remain substantial parts of the selection, joined by tapes, film, books and collectible material. The in-store performance history is still active: the September 2026 calendar lists new events, so this is a present-day reason to check the shop's programme rather than a nostalgic claim. Choose Fingerprints as its own Long Beach outing with room for a broad browse. It does not fit a quick walking add-on to Hollywood or central Los Angeles, however familiar the name may be in citywide recommendations.
