The Cleveland Orchestra

  • United States
  • Jazz, Fusion & Instrumental
  • Formed 1918

Founded in 1918, The Cleveland Orchestra grew from a civic ensemble into one of the most internationally admired American orchestras. Severance Music Center became its permanent home in 1931 and Blossom Music Center its summer home in 1968; touring, recordings and broadcast work helped carry the ensemble's carefully cultivated sound well beyond Northeast Ohio.
