Styx

Styx emerged from Chicago in the 1970s with a mix of hard rock, progressive arrangements, stacked vocal harmonies and theatrical pop songwriting. The Grand Illusion, Pieces of Eight and Paradise Theatre turned that combination into an arena-scale sound, with songs such as Come Sail Away and Renegade balancing keyboards, guitars and big ensemble vocals.
