Our Lady Peace emerged from Toronto in the 1990s and became one of Canada's defining alternative-rock bands through Raine Maida's high, distinctive vocal and the band's heavy but melodic guitar sound. Naveed, Clumsy and Happiness... built the audience, while the concept-driven Spiritual Machines showed a more experimental side without abandoning the band's radio-sized hooks.
