Neil Young and Crazy Horse’s Rivoli Record

On November 4, 2023, Neil Young and Crazy Horse played a close-quarters set at Toronto’s Rivoli. The band returned to songs associated with Ragged Glory, bringing arena-sized history into a club room.

The performance became FU##IN’ UP, released the following spring. The album keeps the energy of the live takes while retitling most of the familiar songs with selected lyric lines.

That origin gives Rivoli a specific place in Young’s official catalogue. It was not simply a surprise Toronto date; it became the room preserved in a Crazy Horse live album.
