Keith Richards Took the Winos to the Palladium

Keith Richards brought the X-Pensive Winos to the Hollywood Palladium on December 15, 1988, during the Talk Is Cheap tour. The recording became Live at the Hollywood Palladium, preserving a night from the guitarist’s solo touring chapter.

The released set joins songs from that project, including Take It So Hard and Struggle, with familiar material such as Happy and Time Is on My Side. It lets listeners hear the new band’s repertoire alongside songs already associated with Richards.

A 2020 remaster returned the recording to circulation. The Palladium remains written into the title, tying the release to an actual room and date rather than presenting it as a tour compilation without a home.
